Side view mirrors for 79 Cherokee

I have been trying to look for some replacement side view mirrors for my 1979 Jeep Cherokee....It did not have them originally...Is that true?...

Don't know about exports, but US rigs had at least a drivers side mirror.

The stock mirrors are too small anyway...get a Ford or 'tripod' style replacement so you can really see!

My 79 Cher. Chief came with driver side only. up, it's tiny. It promptly dropped its mirror out and broke.
I found a replacement generic one at a nearby auto parts store. It really looks A LOT like the original. There were instructions on how to drill holes if needed, so I guess it could be mounted on the passenger side.

But like Langdon said, if you want to see anything you might as well buy big aftermarket ones. I think J.C. Whitney's has generic tripod style. These would be handy for towing, etc.
