Transmission HELP

My transmission has been acting weird. It would make tinging noises. But it had quiet down. Then the next night the transmission vibrated the truck so bad that it made the tire rack and master cylinder cover come off. Can anyone help me out on finding a trans.?

Sounds like the tranny is dying. Is it leaking any fluid?

what year and model truck ????? v-8 or 6 cyl ?????? stick or auto trans ????

AMX Factor it is not leaking fluid. Or I should say not enough to do any damage. Gsmikie the J-10 is a 1979 with a 258ci I6. The trans is a 4 spd. with 1st gear a granny gear. I believe the trans. is a t-19 or t-18 not for sure.
