Ok so after a wild a dream (dont laugh) I woke up guidance for my next buildup, a Cummins powered Wagoneer....I know, nothing new or earthshattering.. but I was curious, rather than swap axles, engine, drivetrain etc... anyone ever dropped the Jeep body on the Dodge chassis? I figure wheelbase adjustments will need to be done along with bodymounts, but, why not? Anyone??

With enough $$$ anything is possible I guesss  I once saw a 40's Chevy truck on like a 93 ram chassis on craigslist and it was amazing, clean, and was 4x4 plus it was restored with a 94 ram interior

Im in the process of dropping a gladiator body onto a 2nd gen (94-98) dodge ram chassis. I shortened it to the proper wheelbase, and thats about all i could get done until i get my other project on the road. To me it seems a lot more simple than trying to make everything else fit where its not supposed to, and on top of that trying to brace up an 'inferior' frame...good luck, follow your dreams!!

Thats the school of thought I was having too. Lift kits are easy on Rams, the suspension rides decent, no swapping axles, beefing up a frame, etc etc... and for ME electrical work is GRAVY and almost fun. Wiring the old Wagoneer body to interact witht he Ram chassis would be sooo easy

When you do this one, be sure and post lots of pics. I'm not the only 'tron challenged' individual out here.............:D .

I really would like to see this done. Much as I am incredibly impressed with the builds being done here involving swapping a Cummins 6BT into an FSJ, I happen to own both an '03 RAM 2500 TD AND an '84 GW.
Hmmm. the possibilities are limitless.................
