transfer case will not separate from transmission

Arrrrgh!!!! I'm trying to do the clutch on my 82 j10. The np 208 t-case will not budge and is stuck against the t-176 trans. I could do the clutch with the trans/t-case together, but It'd be alot more managable if I can get them apart. Yes, I'm sure I've removed ALL the bolts between the factory adapter and the transmission. It seems like its on there with super epoxy glue!?! Any suggestions, I'll keep checking back here inbetween sessions of savage t-case beatings with a hand sledge.

OK, fine, that stupid adapter can just stay stuck to the trans forever for all I care. I removed the case from it but loosening the nuts holding the 208 to the adapter. I don't understand why it won't come loose from the transmission, but for some reason, theres a death grip and it won't let go. Anyway, I win! Me: 1 Jeep: 0 there's more than 1 way to skin a FSJ Hahahahaha!!!!
