O.K., I've never heard of this happening before but, Here goes. My wife was driving my 1980 J-10 pick-up. She says that every time she shifts into 4th gear, the engine shuts down. It has not done it with me yet but, I was wondering if anybody has ever heard of one doing this. It's got a worn out 258 w/ T-176 4-speed. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd are fine but, she says as soon as she hits 4th---(No Power). Do I need a knew truck or a knew wife??.(Ha! Ha!) Any help is welcome.
