Well, it finally happened... I've had my '79 Cherokee since January and I knew it would happen eventually ..... there is a small dirt road across the street from my house that has some very deep sand on one side.... people are always getting stuck but can usually get free after a few minutes of frantic manuvering and ear-wrenching engine revving... well last night one of the locals ran his 200SX in there and after an hour of digging, I took pity on the guy... "Hey, you want me to pull you out?" .... "UMM, do you have a tow truck over there or something??" "Well, not exactly." Five minutes later I had him back on the pavement and barely had to bring my 360 off idle... the guy was quite happy and quite amazed that 'some old Jeep' could pull him out of there especially since he still had the e-brake on!!! Kids these days..... :D

yup, on the way to the beach there is a purpose built sand trap to keep the 2wheelers who cant read the foot tall letters "4wdrive only" off the beach where they can really get in a fix. i used to pullem out for free but newer cars are a PITA to hook cause theres no metal that will take a hook up front. itsa lie on the belly and dig witha spade job. the foreign jobs are easier cause you got the lift hooks they use to to load em on the ship. only place i could find onna caravan was the motor mount. :eek any way i have been charging them 20 $. a wrecker is at least twice that and an hour away to boot
