1979 Cherokee Golden Eagle Canadian

Well On May 13, 2011 I sold my rusty old 1978 cherokee Chief regretted ever since. So May 13, 2012 I found this and it was meant to be.
1979 Cherokee Golden Eagle
360/th400/qtrac
D44 front and rear
rear eaton locker
10000lb superwinch
york conversion onboard air
35 inch Mickey Thompsons
rebuilt th400

Original paint, levi type interior almost mint, And more important something I rarely see in Canada ORIGINAL WIDETRAC FLARES fronts are good only rust is on bottom of rear flare3s and rear quarters

The good little rust almost everything works, and runs good

The bad : have a engine oil leak to locate and repair, need passenger side mirror, need to fix horn, sort out vapor canister,clean up rear window motor(its sluggish going up), change rear and front bumper, sort out some type of tire carrier

Nice cherokee. not much rust on it for sure! I love the mickey thompson MTZs. Ive got a set of 35"s on one of my jeeps as well. If they werent so dang expensive, i'd buy another new set...:rolleyes:

Thanks. My overall plan is fix the few little things, fix the rust and then enjoy. Not looking at full paint yet maybe in the future. The prev owner worked at keeping it original as possible and i like that. To be honest i have never seen a widetrac in canada with the flares. Other than in pics.

I love the golden eagle package! Don't remember seeing one before

Just wondering if anybody could tell me if my golden eagle would have come with the indian head emblem on the outside of my rig.(it had one on glove box door with amc emlem as well)

Also on my grill there us a little rectangle that looks like a emblem goes there but i cant find a photo showing what goes. Any help would be great.

On the Indian Head Emblem, they could have come on the fender or behind the cargo area glass. I believe they should have been installed on you rig.

That is probably one of the better Golden Eagles i've seen. Like, the vinyl isnt all worn to hades, and you even have the wheels. Nice find!
