I want to run the bigger 1350 ujoint, but was wondering how to do it. Im sure the connections on my shaft are to small for the 1350, so do I have to find a chevy shaft and cut the end off and attatch to mine? I have to shorten the shaft anyway. Are they the same width, so it will weld right up? Shop here will do it for cheap, but just need to know what I need to take to them. Also, how strong is the conversion joint? I know they are like $30, but was thinking the 1350 is like $12,and easier to find, so prolly want to go with the 1350. Thanks, Dennis

a good driveshaft shop should have an end that fits your tubing that will accept the 1350 joint,so the easiest method would be to simply drop off the sahft and tell them to swap the end when they shorten it. i have no idea what that would cost, tho,i have never bought somethin like that new froma driveline shop.
if you get the sahft from a 3/4 or 1 ton truck,it likely will have a different size tube,so id try and find a driveshaft with 1350 joints thats too long, then just have that one cut down. you should be able to swap a 1350 yoke from a 205 onto your 208 and run a 1350 at both ends
other options would be to simply replace the slidey part of the 1350 joint sahft with a 1310 joint slidey part, simple enuff, and just as simple to upgrade later when you find a 1350 yoke for your 208.the gm shafts have a finer spline for the slip yoke, and are prolly a considerable strength upgrade over the course spline jeep sahft.i am not 100% sure that all gm slidey parts will interchange, however,so youll need to do some checkin.
or i guess you could run the conversion joint at the t case end of the sahft until you found the 1350 yoke for the 208.
i am working towards a day when i will have a t case that wont break ;) and 1350 joints at both ends of each drivesahft smile.gif
i made my rear by mixing up the parts from a 2wd 3/4 ton 2 piece shaft  it works great, but i dont know if it would have some vibes at highway speeds(the drivesahft only spins at highway speeds if ive got my foot on the floor in 2nd or 3rd stuck in a mudhole :D )
