need your help!

hey all this company (www.sportraxx.com (http://www.sportraxx.com)) said they would make me a rack to fit my J10 short bed dimensions since they have never done it before, for no extra fee than the price on the website. however..I am currently in CT and my truck is in FL! If anyone could measure or knows where to get some dimensions online I would be very grateful! I would normally wait to measure it myself but I only have 3 weeks of leave so would like to get the rack in the works so by the time I have leave it is made and I can put it on my truck and drive it back to CT with all my sporting goodies!

The rack fits into stake pockets and can either cover only the front half or go over the whole bed...so I would need the sizes of the pockets, width between them, distance ect.

Don't know if there is a difference, probably not but it wouldn't hurt to know what year model townside bed truck you have, The boxes changed from single wall to double wall in 73 and the tailgates also changed from chain latch to center handle internal latching in 73. J-10's came in 2 wheelbase lengths, J20's only in the long wheelbase. What size bed? long box or short box?

woops..its a 1980 thanks. normall I would do/make my own..but I have a time crunk and need it to move some stuff

1980 what? Shortbox J10, longbox J10 or longbox J20?
edit: opps I've got to read better or at least slower. I see now it's a J10 short box. Even my first reply is moot cause all J10's are 74 and up and double walled. Sorry bout that.

I can send baked goods?..well eventually. I just need to get this in the works before I leave on my cutter for 3 months. Some events came up that mean I need to haul lots of gear from FL to Washington DC

I have a 1980 J10 short bed, I can measure everything tomorrow afternoon and post it up. You want height from top of bed to cab, width of bed, length of bed, size of stake pockets and space between them? All 6 or just the 4 end ones?:drivin:

Yup! and like width/length from outside bed rails and width/length of inside bedrails..size/location of all 6 stake pockets.

I am going to get the half rack and put them on the back 4 when I put in a roll bar..but until then it will occupy the front 4.
