Can anybody suggest a good set of headers? I've got the stock exhaust manifolds but I don't really want to use them. I'm not looking for a real high priced set or anything, just something to improve exhaust flow a bit.
Next Q - does anybody make a set of timing gears for the AMC V8s? I always thought the gears would be cool, but I've never seen a set for sale anywhere.
Thanks,
Anthony

For the header question, if you look back a couple of days we were talking about this very thing. Everyone named a few good headers, and there were pros and cons to them.
For the gear question, No no one makes them for the AMC engines. Me and many others have searched and searched but no luck.
Keep searching for the gears. In my relatively recent quest for info on hopped-up AMC V8s (yes, it's STILL at the speed shop, patiently waiting it's turn to go inside for the aluminum Indy Street heads and Crane aluminum roller rockers), I do remember seeing a set of timing gears for the AMC V8. However, I don't even have the vaguest idea as to where I saw them (or even if it was in a dream?). BUT I DO remember seeing some. :D

I just stumbled across this: Timing gears for an AMC are made by Milodon, They are $expensivo$ though. Here is the part number: 13700. Summit has them in stock, but they are around 340 bucks. Or you can order them direct from Milodon.com. Run a search for AMC to find evrything they make for these engines.

WOW! Great find thanks! I would look into getting some but I will be going to a 454 in a few years and I just replaced the timing chain. Good find.

Cool. It's a bit pricey for the 360 but maybe later on a 401...
