Waterpump gasket cement

Any suggestions on what to use and how to apply it?

I use a little of the blue stuff on the gasket. Works ok for me.

Seems the standard goop for water pumps and thermostat housings is blue RTV. That's what I'd use.

i used gasgasinch (sp?) on both sides of the stock gasket. havent had any leaks.

I like Hylomar for this sort of thing, that may have to come apart again in the forseeable future. It never hardens, but seals really well.
