I have been looking for pistons, so far, I have found TRW forged at a good price, but no .020's! they all start at .030, I know someone has to make a .020 piston!

You can look for 390 pistons too, but you'll have to pay $8 to $15 each to have them milled down...Just another option for you. smile.gif

EDIT>>>> While doing my great piston search I learned a few things. The last company to actually make 401 pistons was Badger, and I'm not sure if they went out of business or got bought out or what, but from about 1999 on, the quality of there pistons across the board went down. I'm not sure if they are back up and running again or what, but my pistons came from Badger "LLC", and are brand new, are cast but with steel reinforced skirts and are the exact dimensions they are supposed to be matched as close as my machinists scale can measure. I know that they are still available from Maddog in std,30,40,60, but I haven't seen them in .20 . if you're looking at forged, search for my post "401 pistons?" in general tech and there are some links to a company I can't find without the links called "AM performance style" or something like that. if that fails, you may have to order some form KB Silvolite to your exact dimensions, but a few of the board members who have rebuilt 401 say they wish they would have done that in the first place. If it fits your budget, I say do it. Or just bore 30 and get the TRWs to save time and money. Just my $0.02. ;)

Try PAW. They list a .020 in there catalog but they may not be available anymore. There are a few sets floating around out there. I think Sealed Power is the most comon sets. Also look on ebay for Mad Dog Racing he has some interesting AMC parts for sale.

A set of new BRC pistons for a 390, 4.185" bore, 1.532" compression height, .927" pin, gas ported, .043" top, .043" second, 3mm oil ring. Will not work with the Indy SR heads. They will have a 12.5~1 compression ratio with a 57cc chamber. I'm asking $550.00 o.b.o. I have a set of ferra pins also for the pistons For $150.00 I could sell the pistons and pins for $625.00 o.b.o.
