Yes, I did this awhile ago. You need to take it apart (not hard). Did you search in the tech archives? The good news is that once you tighten it up (using a little lock tite) it won't come loose again. I did mine 10 years ago. Find an exploded view of the column, this will be a big help. There are two screws (male Torx) that are the problem IIRC. You will need to take it apart to get to those and put some loc-tite on them and put it all back together again. It should only take a few hours.

I've done it too. The main 'specialty' too you'll need is a steering wheel puller, and the doo-hickey (technical term smile.gif ) for the compression ring.
Wagoneers.com (http://www.wagoneers.com/FSJ/tech/steering-column.html) has a technical article with pictures.

Well, it's actually 4 bolts and to do it all the way right requires two specalty tools. The first is the lock plate compressor(autozone has em) the second is the pivot pin remover, this i dont think autozone has, got mine from Mac. there are ways around a steering wheel puller if you don't have one, with a buddy and some patience, you can get around the lock plate compressor too. If you get that far then you can see two bolts, torx on later models, just tightening those two will hold, sometimes you can see a third bolt to get to.It's not hard to do, just time consuming. If you can't find it in a Chilton's manuel, I can list the steps in a little better detail.
