i put on a new 2150 and retired the original today. the old one was running too rich and i could never figure why. the new carb runs good but i lost some of the get up and go. i am gonna hit it with a light tomorrow and clean all the plugs of the accumulated soot. should i be looking to advance the timing? i think that it is all i need. there are not any vacuum leaks either. just wondering where is a good place to start. thanks.

thanks for the carb ralph. it started up fine and idles real nice. good luck in the move

Try shifting gears manually, starting in first, to see if you accelerate better that way. If so, you probably need to toy with the kickdown linkage.

i checked the timing then adjusted the fast idle speed. the pedal felt real soft then after the adjustment it had better pick up. i think it is set, i am glad that gas smell went away
