Blake and I are getting his truck out of the paint shop Saturday morning, and start the process of installing all the trim, bumpers, etc. Can you guys help me out with ideas about how best to restore the shine on all those different types of "chrome" trim?

1. The stainless steel stuff (windshield trim, rear window trim)

2. The aluminum stuff (bumpers, body trim, door jambs)

3. The plastic stuff (corner marker light housings, etc.)

It's kinda funny, but this stuff didn't look so bad when the truck was original faded tan!!! Any and all ideas are GREATLY appreciated!

On all my chrome trim and the front grill, I used a metal polish called FLITZ. It comes in a tube and works excellent. On the grill, I used a small buffing wheel on my dremel tool and it really took off the tarnish and shined it up. On the plastic stuff if it is faded, there are many plastic polishes out there for plexiglass windows, etc. I have used NOVUS in the past and have had good results. Might be harder to find since it is used on aircraft windows, but you might check a local, small airport- most will sell it if they have pilot supplies.

To clean up all the brake and signal lenses and plastic with lots of corners...pop it in the dishwasher! works great...makes em look new
