Heater sliders wont move

Hollo My 79 wag has a prob. with heater
controls The temp sliders wont move how do I
remove it from dash, Is it just needing lube?

check the cable that connects it to the heater box, mine was frozen solid, had to be replaced to get the switch to work

If PB Blaster or WD40 doesn't loosen it up at the heater box, you'll need to pull the instrument panel to get to the slider at the panel. It is attached with a screw and clip and will come off easily. From there a bit of forceful back and forth with more WD should break it loose. I don't know where you could get a replacement. The above action did it for mine.

I got a new cable from the dealer for about 25 bucks. I was able to replace it without taking the instrument cluster out.
