Has anyone tried the weatherstripping from JC whitney. The weatherstipping that goes around the door jam (pushes onto the flange). Just like to know if it works. Don't want to pay $100.00 per side unless I have to.

Do a search for this topic. It has been brought up recently and several members have used the JCW weatherstripping successfully.

Thanks for the reply. It looks like it will work and save me about $160.00.

We have them for sale on our site. Here is the link Door Seals (http://www.bjsoffroad.com/bj2.html)
We sell them for $90 per door, but being an IFSJA member, you'll get a discount off that price.

Btw, one advantage is that ours is made by the original manufacturer, and is guaranteed to be correct.

Yah, I used the JCW stuff. It definetaly cheaper, but if you have the money, I would go with the stuff from BJs, but if you dont want to spend $320 on door seals, which Im sure alot of people dont, the JCW stuff works.
It makes it harder to close the door, your really have to slam it, but I think over time it will get softer, and it will be easier to close.
Im happy with it for now, but once my rig is painted and nearing completion, Ill probably splurge and get the nice factory stuff from BJs.
BTW, youll need two rolls to do a Wag. One roll should do if for the cheros/Js , but Im not 100% sure as I used 1 roll for each side, and the front doors are bigger than the rear doors.

Ditto the door slamming on the JCW stuf, but it works. Three of my doors have gotten easier to close, but not the drivers door as of yet after over a month. It's quiet in there.

I'm happy with the JC Whitney weatherstripping. All the doors close normally except for the driver's which needs a little more of a push.
