Looking for any suggestions for figuring out why I don't have any oil pressure. I checked my oil level, and it didn't look good, but I haven't noticed any major leakage. Where should I look and what should I check? Thanks so much!

So, did you fill up the crankcase? Did the pressure come back? When did you last have oil pressure? Have you been under the hood or the dash where you might have disconnected something accidentally? If you had an abrupt "0" reading, check the lead to the sender first. If your oil has been pretty clean, you prolly don't have an obstruction. Oil pumps don't fail, they wear out and pressure decreases rather than just stops. No oil pressure has other signs and symptoms like loud valve clatter, lifter noise, bearing knock. If you don't hear any of these things, I bet you have pressure, you just are not indicating it on the guage.

... Check the accuracy of your oil level dipstick it may not be giving a correct reading. When you change the oil and filter and put the factory prescribed amount of oil in the engine run the engine for five minutes or so and then start checking for oil leaks. After the inspection turn off the engine and wait about five minutes. Now pull and clean the oil level ‘dip stick’ and carefully check the oil level.

... The actual oil on the dipstick may not match the ‘full mark’ on the dipstick, if not file a mark where the oil actually is.
... Your problem may just be a bad connection at the pressure sender…

Good Luck ;) and CUL.. ds..

Okay so I am a little releaved. All of a sudden I didn't have any oil pressure. Granted I needed to add 2 quarts, but I have always had 40psi of oil pressure, and then all of a sudden nothing.

Will the Haynes manual or anything else tell me where this connection is and how do I go about trouble shooting the problem; whether it be gauge, sender, pump etc...

Thanks in advance.

2 quarts are pretty low.....

how much do yu read now

and yes if your oil pressure is down, you will hear it

if the lead is still connected.... then your oil pump relief valve spring could be broken bypassing the oil pump

NAPA has the spring

One other thing to check is did the sender wire fall off the presure sender ?
Instant 0 psi. and the best news you can hope for.

Ground the wire to the sending unit, it should max out the gauge, if it doesn't you might have bad gauge of blown fuse.
