I heard some rumors about putting 2 bottles of carb cleaner in your tank, full of course, and driving about 10 miles on the thruway to get it in your system. How are you failing? hc or co?

I am not sure what is not correct, I passed last May but was snagged by one of the road side sniffers. They are set up to catch in an acceleration lane.

yup, dry gas helps the emissions from alcohol are co2 and h2o not hydrocarbons co and nox. eieio :D use a couple of 12 oz bottles per gal.of gas.it will help some but its no miracle worker. fresh oil and air cleaner helps too. get the rig up to operating temp. pray a lot. hate those smog nazis.

Does adding alcohol help to get rid of water in your tank? If so, how much is ok to use? Can you use too much?
