Timed my wagon the other day, now exhaust smells like sulphur or something of the sort. Does'nt smoke or backfire anymore though. I have it set at 12. Maybe the carb is my prob?

A sulphur smell is usually a catalytic (sp?) converter. I don't know if running rich (smoke, backfires) caused it any problems. If you're running leaner (no smoke or backfires), then maybe your exhaust is hotter, causing the cat to smell. However, this is all pure speculation at this point.

if by sulfur you mean a rotten egg like smell than it will be your catalytic converter. get rid of it if you don't have emissions or replace it if you do. a too rich running motor will cause the cat to go bad.

try a different brand of gas, some smell worse than others.

Cheap gas always smelled in our older vehicles with cats (80's era). Higher grade gas got rid of the smell.

Can you fix or clean an EGR?

You can clean one but if it wont hold vacumn then it's trash.
