Is my A/C compressor good?

My A/C compressor pulley doesen't have a belt on it and the blower motor works.The pulley can be turned by hand.How can I tell if it's good?I have read your 134-A conversion and wondering if that requires a special compressor or if the stock one will work.Anyone know best prices on rebuilt?

the stock one will work but it don't cool real good,try to turn the center of the comp. inside the pully area, if it turns easy it might work, put a belt on it and try it.if you take a drive up to north west houston one weekend i can help check it out and give some pointers on your rig.
