I have begun assembling my cold air dual snorkel intake. I have added a picture to my profile link at the bottom of the page.
If anyone wants, I will follow up with more photos.

Later, Andy

That looks great, nice job. Be sure and post pics when you install it. Are you going to put a K&N filter in it?

i was giving this thought all week. what would you think about leaving the hoses off, and making slits on the hood where the hood rises to a different height. i have not looked at the location of the snorkel to where the hood peaks, but does this even make sense. similar to what a newer mustang has. i defiinitely want to see what you end up doing.

What kind of trap or lan do you have to stop rain, dirt, etc, from reaching the air cleaner? Also, when do you think you'll this done by? I can't wait to see the final product.

OK, check out the rough install. If you click the thumbnail, then click that picture, it will give you maximum resoultion for detail.
The drier hose is like 1/4 inch too small, so I had to slit the tube, and use duck tape. I plan to go back with some foil tape to make it more finished.
I do plan on getting a K & N. As for water getting into the intake, I have the duct just beneath the headlamp, so shouldnt be a problem unless I go off road.
As for cutting up the hood, I am not much of a body guy, so think I'll skip that. It would be possible though, and effective as well.

Isn't that one of the main reasons to own a Jeep? The installation looks like factory stuff, good job.

Cool

Great idea to get lots of cool fresh air.

How did you graft them together?
