u bolt plates..

whne i had my tires off the other day i saw rubbing marks on my frame from the u bolt plates, is this Ok or is it going to be a prob? and could it be because i have an NT rear and not WT?

Grab your breaker bar/torque wrench, and see if you can tighten up those u-bolts. They shouldn't move at all, in any direction!

I trust you are talking about the rear axle plates. You have either carried a heavy load, have super saggy springs, or have jumped the thing. If the u bolts are not overly long this is not a normal condition. Are the bumpstops still in existance? They should have prevented this. Maybe what you are seeing is where the bumpstops used to be right above the u bolt plates, they usually rust off.
