cannot seem to come up with a vendor for a swingaway spare setup for the wag. i've found acouple that I might be able to retro fit, but thought i'd inquire to the list here first before heading in the wrong direction. looking for something that can mount on the frame with a minor attachment to the body (to keep it from excessivly stressing the thin body metal), does not carry extra gas cans, is 1/2 the width of the car, not cheaply put together. links, phone numbers and partnumbers very much appreciated!

I posted in another forum that I have one from my 78 Chero that I would sell for $40. I have no idea if these ever came stock on these rigs or not but never the less I took it off and have it sitting here. I am totting my spare on top these days.

Let me see if I can get the wife to bring a digital camera from work and I will get a picture. I will also get some size measurments for you. I cant remember but I believe it bolted to the body and frame. When I get home I will give you more specific details. Im in no hurry to sell it so take your time and do your homework first. This is the only one I have seen on a Chero so I'm not sure if it was a dealer thing or what. It could have been the first owner that put it on??? It was already on when I bought it from the last owner and he said that it was on there when he bought it. So who knows! I didn't have a tire on it so Im not sure if it rattled or not. The main reason I took it off was because I didn't think I could see out the back window with a 33 back there.
