'85 J20 D60 rear - size of shaft

I was wondering if anyone knew how strong the shafts were in a '85 J20 D60 rear. I heard that some D60 rear ends had shafts that were the same size as D44's....

I think they are 1.31" 30 spline axles similar to D44's. I'm not sure whether it is a full floater or not, which might add some strength.

Yes, the shafts are the same dimension as the 44. But, the 60 are a full-floating axle so the shaft don't have to bear the weight of the vehicle. This makes the 60's shaft "stronger" because it don't see as much force.
