Brake light comes on

My brake light will light intermittently when you step on the brake. When it does light, usually when you apply the brakes again, it goes out. I've checked the fluid and it is full.

Could it be the proportioning valve? I'm a bit concerned as my wife usually drives this FSJ most of the time.

pull up on the e-brake pedal and see if the light goes out. thats what was doing it on my wags

I checked that. E-brake cable and pedal are fine. Thanks for the suggestion.

sounds like the proportion vavle to me that was whwt mine was doing replace the valve no more problems
