I have a 78 Cherokee 360. Does anyone know if there are haeders available to fit this vehicle? I used to work in an auto parts store have looked a lot of places without success. I tried some for a CJ but they ran right into the motor mounts. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Edelbrock makes a shorty header with AIR tubes. I hear they fit nice, and the AIR tubes can be blocked. However, the early 70's AMC exhaust manifolds flow real nice, and many AMC hot rodders stick with manifolds.

Thorley still makes headers to fit FSJs. I just ordered a pair from Summit Racing. The come with and whithout the air tube holes. The smog version requires the factory airtubes if you need them.

J20Dan, How much did they run you? Are they ceramic coated, some other coating?
Thanks

Summit had the best prices on Thorley's that I could find. I got the smog version which runs $519, Ni/Cr plated. I think the non-smog version run about $50 less. The Edelbrock's are about the same but the air tubes are welded, not bolted on and they are not plated. You can get the Thorley's ceramic coated for about $200 extra.
I talked to the Summit sales guy about the cost and he said these are one of the best made headers around, thick flange, well made tubes, tri-Y design, etc.
