Check the tech link in my sig for the differences between body lift and suspension lift.

A 6" suspension lift gets the whole truck 6 inches higher off the ground, body lifts only lift the body so the chassis would only be 4 inches higher.

If you factor in trouble of having to replace the springs anyway then having to do the body lift which involves of course lift the whole body off the frame, extending linkages, adjusting the radiator and fabbing new bumper mounts. It's probably a lot easier just to get a 6" suspension lift, although that could require front driveshaft mods. A 4" suspension will flex better than a 6" however. See nothing is ever easy.
