I need to locate a source for the nylon moulding fasteners for my 1979 Wagoneer. The stainless trim attaches to the them. I found this sales brochure at http://wesales.com/pdf/2011-12%20WEBCATALOG.pdf but am unable to locate the them in it. Does anyone here know where I can find replacements?

The trim fasteners are some of the hardest parts to find. We had to get pretty creative with a number of ours (on the Rambler). Here's a company that has quite a selection. We foind that often the connecter we needed wasn't listed under AMC, but under another make - we just had to hunt through everything to find things that were close enough to work.

If you are unsure of what you see online... You can send them a sample, and they will do a parts-match for you.
I made a trip to their shop... Amazing place! Row after row of parts and more parts! Like a kid in a candy shop I was! :D

Well, I think I've identified the nylon moulding fasteners in the following parts catalog, http://www.restorationspecialties.com/2011_Catalog_Web.pdf
I think it is the item below located on page 161. Can anyone back me up on this?

Just a reminder that the RS&S folks have alot more stuff that is not in their catalog. You can always send a sample for them to match... I have and they will return the part free-of-charge.

Let us know if these are the right ones.
I am looking for new clips to hold the chrome trim over the tailgate window. Not the thin piece, the thick one at the very top...
Anyone located these?

Excellent find!!! We've been worrying about finding these clips for Phoebe's rebuild. I'll copy this over the the commercial vendor section so it's available for future reference.

Below is the text from the email I received today from Info@restorationspecialties.com. I'll be sending in my old nylon moulding fasteners in hopes of finding a match. Maybe my 79 will soon be fitted with beautiful stainless trim again....
Hello,
#4301J is .645". Please either send me the sample, or provide exact dimensions.
Thank You

Did you ever find out if those were the right clips? What about the wire clip holding the piece that has the screw hidden by the rear turn signal housing? is that #181 on page 131? I've just started removing the trim from my 78 waggy.

No. Not yet. Unfamiliar with the wire clip you mention above.

This is not a nylon clip, but what my body man used to put the side trim on my J20.

Just recieved my samples back a direct match,#4301 J at $1.10 each page 161 of their cataloge.
Does anyone know if the clips mentioned below are the ones that hold the stainless trim on that goes around the rear window opening?
The clips I need fit inside the trim, they are shaped like a W. The trim is what goes above and across the rear opening and then has the two side pieces that fit down side and stops above the the tail lights.
