Okay... quick one hopefully.

7/11 runs great except for wanting to slip into passing gear at low speeds/throttle.

Fluid level is okay, but I was wondering if it could be the modulator valve. What would be the cause of this if it WAS the case? (lack of vacuum on the valve?)

Also, someone told me that the "newer" Grand Waggies (7/11 is an 88) didn't have the modulator valve, but had some other type of sensor/switch, etc. Is this correct? Anyone have a part number for the modulator valve?

The transmission doesn't slip (other than mentioned above) and doesn't make any hard noises when placing into gear, so this is really the only problem.

Any info will be greatly appreciated.

THANKS!!!!

Brian

Sounds like the TV linkages need to be adjusted. (Throttle Valve) Here is a link to How to Adjust TV linkage (http://www.ifsja.org/tech/transmission/727adj.shtml)

Medman,
No modulator valve on a TF-727 tranny. Crazy_Jeepman is correct- adjust the TV linkage. Friend had an 86 that had the same symptoms you describe and that was the problem.
