View Full Version : Cheap brake lines for lifts

Here is the solution to your break line problems up front. 82 chevy 1 ton 2 whl.dr . they are about 10" longer than stock, lower the brak line bracket to get another inch. Autozone sells these lines for $15.99 each, no adaptors needed, but you do buy two of the same side line and adjust the metal leads for each side of you rig. they also have a metl bracket in the middle that can be used to attatch a spring to hold lines back away from tires.

For small lifts on Wagoneers/narrow tracks the lines from a wide trak should
work for just a little extra lenght.

i am using lines from a 77 1/2 ton 4wd chevy at all 4 corners. they are longer than stock lines,but i cant remember if they are a full 10 inches longer or not...
i think i paid $16.99 for mine at the 'Zone.
thanx for the tip smile.gif for some reason it didnt occur to me to look at a 2wd line ;)

i have a 71. when i put a dane 44 in the front with a lift, i just moved the brake line from the top of the frame to the bottom. plenty long now.i dont know if the pre 74 wags are over or under the frame.
