Ok the background is I have a Willys wagon That I've started restoring. Now it's in REALLY sad condition. I've fully stripped it and yanked the chassis which appears tweaked and somewhat rusty from 40years of sitting in a paddock.....
It's got no engine, tranny, tcase or front end running gear.....I DID say it was sad right?

Anyhow I've just stumbled upon a CJ10 (aussie special)......It's unregoed and obviously needs work - but appears to have a solid frame and all the mechanicals I'm missing.....

SO how hard do you think it would be to drop the Wagon body onto the CJ10 platform??

ANY thoughts or comments are welcomed...

Dropping it on there should be no problem.

Getting it bolted down securely might be a little trickier... :D

How do the wheelbases compare? That would probably be a good swap; as I recall, the Willys wagons had about a 105"-106" wheelbase. If the CJ-10 is a few inches shorter, you can re-radius the rear wheelwell, adding all the extra length to the front of the wheelwell opening.

I'd say go for it. That sounds like a great project in the making.

LOL I wish it were that close...
The Willy's Wagon wheelbase is 104"
The CJ10 wheelbase is 111"
