Go down to homegrown vendors in the for sale section and look uo Men In Blacks door panels, on page 4 or 5 there is a SWEEEET console he builds for the GW. Best Ive seen yet. I have his door & cargo panels and his work is top notch!!

Short of the Super Wagoneer console, this is the sexiest center console I have ever seen in a jeep!

I bought this from Fleabay for $.01 plus $16 shipping, cleaned up and painted Nutmeg. It fits perfect at the seat belt cutouts and clears the 4WD lever. It has drink-holders and CD slots. It ends about 12" from the AC Duct and under that my new Audio is mounted. It looks sharp and clean. I made a Blank from metal where the Shifter goes and recovered in Marine teak sideing. Held in place by stainless nuts/bolts/collars. More when it comes back from upholstery.:drivin:

My rig is pretty spartan. I'm going to use a 20mm ammo can that I picked up as a security console. I may pad the top somehow, but it's pretty tall, so making it taller is not advised.
Haven't (http://http://s56.photobucket.com/albums/g188/nameisunavailable/?action=view¤t=console1.jpg) gotten even near putting it in yet, but here is a '65 SS that I will install, along with a manual steering column. Picked up a B&M shifter off of ebay. Was going to put the small Chief emblem where the plexiglass SS is now. http://s56.photobucket.com/albums/g188/nameisunavailable/?action=view¤t=console1.jpg

I've never seen anything like that in a YJ.
Does he mean GM Y-body (Corvette)?
I can't see that working in a Vette all the same.

Yeah, I was wondering about that from looking at the part numbers posted but then lost interest in researching it. :)

It has a Chrysler LOGO stamped into it as well. Since it says WJ maybe I was mislead on model:thumbsup: . The guy specializes in Jeep parts. I have dry fit it and it sits in there nicely, and as someone else mentioned only 3 self tappers to fasten it. I will probably add a few others to secure it. At any rate the question was what have others put in. Either you like it or not.
