I need to find out what Pickup Bodys will fit on a 70 Wagoneer Chasis with as few mods as possible, am willing to buy Jeep Pickup body if any thing will fit, or put my powertrain in a Pickup. Thanks for any (HELP)

Don't know if it can be done, but Harmon 4 wheel drive in Tulsa had several J trucks last time I was in there. Good source for Jeep parts, even had a new factory glove box insert for my former Cherokee Chief.

The pick up cab is a direct bolt on to the wag chassis as I have done this. The box will not work but there are a couple of options. You can use any full size Ford (46 to early 80's) step side box if you remove the fenders and use trailer fenders (the Jeep style look the best) and this is what did. Or you can use a short box Ranger box by extending the wheel base between 1 to 2 inches (I forget the exact measurement now) and using Jeep style trailer fenders to widen the box. Just before I got my Wag, I was going to do this and found the the body lines on the Ranger are the almost exactly the same as the FSJ's. The upper and lower body and upper and lower ribs are in the same place and are of the same design! There is one body line missing, but with the right paint, it would not be noticed. I had gone as far a buying a box and set of fenders and fitting it all to the frame but changed directions when the wife said it would be nice to have more room than a pu has. I have also seen Rangers and S10's on wag chassis.

Hey Jeepbob, are you talking about a J-10 cab or using the ranger cab and will the J-10 cab work with the Wagoneer front clip? Also what year J-10 if that is the case. Thanks. Dave.
