Engine Transmission Swap

I need to make one good Jeep from the two I own.
Can the engine, trans, and transfer case all be pulled and re-installed all in one piece or would it better to pull the engine seperate? Thanks for the help y'all. :confused:

The book says to pull the engine by itself.,..and pull the trans with the xfer case connected...I just did both and it was reletively easy...There were a few things related to getting the xfer case out thet took some funny (not so funny) bending of the ol' arms...but it went just fine...mine is an 88 so if I can help...email me...
