How do you add a picture to your profile on this site?

Anybody know how to do this?

Cool, I used to live in Bloomington!

You have to have the picture on a website somewhere, whether it be your own personal site, fsjworld.com or shutterfly.com, etc. Then you can link back to it for your avatar. I think alot of folks here use fsjworld.com. I have my own ISP and hosting company, so I use my own. :D

Its not working they are on a web site now and i cant get them up here.

do you know the exact URL to the pic? when you key the URL into your browser, does the picture show up?

Click on that link!
Remote linking is not allowed - you need to do it off a differnet website

When the site switched over to using avatars the ability to post PICs in the profile section was removed. I believe it may have had something to do with controlling the size for us poor folk with dial-ups. :(

OK - the last url that you posted is good:

Click on the above and it will actually take you to an image.

Now click on "my profile" at the top of the page.
Now click on "View/Update Profile" to the left.
Now click on "Select an avatar image"
Now post the url: http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b4dc38b3127cceb8b46e23795e0000001010
EXACTLY as it is above
hit ok and all that and save it all by hitting "update profile" at the bottom of the page.
It's that easy :D

The image came up but didn't stay after i updated so i dont know what is going on.

Go back into your profile and verify that the image is showing up in the little box...it should be...if not, something got lost in the process and you should try again.

When i paste the url it shows up,i select it and click update and it doesn't stay.

Maybe you are missing a step in between - is there a button or link or checkbox that says something like "use this image as my avatar"?

yeah and i click on it and it still wont stay.I'm gonna try to add another pic. and see what happens.
