When driving a truck, you know that acceleration noice you get from the engine when accelerating.... well mine is funky.

It was fine until I changed out my plug wires. Now is seems to have that normal increasing pitch acceleration noise, then falter, increase, falter... and it coincide with the power I'm getting. Fine, then weakish, then fine and weakish again...

The wire that goes from the coil to the distributor is a bit tight (gonna fix it), can this somehow cause this?

Sorry for the sorry-arse distription, but I don't know how else to describe it. TIA

Check your firing order as well, sounds like you may have installed some of the wiring in the incorrect firing order.. that is, assuming that all worked well prior to the spark plug wire change-out....

Did you use pre-made wires, or the type that you have install the boot on?? if the latter, you may have not grounded one of the wires with the boot??

I would check the firing order first, then check the timing again, ensure that the dist. cap is in good shape, and if all else fails, take another look at the boot connectors for the wires...

Hope something in there helps...
