Alternator

I need an alternator for my '91 Wag. Should I "upgrade" from factory? If so, what should I get?

Upgrade how? Higher amperage or different brand/style alternator?? I think if you go with the highest factory amperage for your year Wag, you should be fine. The later model rigs had OK alternators.

I read an article where you said "CS-144 alternator will do you fine, with the Delco 8078 adapter plug." Will this work okay on my '91?

I upgraded to a 97amp alt, why up from the 40amps I was pushing..
