I am interested in getting some protection on the front of my ride... how good is the stock JEEP push bar? I have never seen on ein person, and it looks a bit wimpy in pics, but it DOES look good, and I imagine easy to install. What do you guys think???

You mean like the one on my truck?

I don't think its the strongest thing out there. Mine was bent on the drivers side before I ever mounted it. Then this winter I slid into a gaurd rail at a relatively slow speed and the passenger side got bent in. I guess it all depends on what you are looking for protection from...

I hit a Deer with one, I think I would have been better off with out it. It did more damage than the Deer would have. It folded up and smashed the heck out of the hood and fender
Need to talk to Rande, maybe he will sell his beefy pushbar.

Mine has a fair sized rock ding and it didn't happen offroading. If it gets dinged that easy I'd say it's not the most durable piece out there. More for form than function.

All show and no go. It's too small of tubing supported by weak mounting points. The nice thing is how it's contoured to the front end. Kind of like the yuppie tail light and headlight guards on the newer SUV's that don't see any more action than a section of unpaved road during road construction...

Yep, it looks like yours bvibert... I found one in a local yard on a Cherokee I can get for $25. I also found a bunch of other stuff you guys might be interested in... update in a few days. An old Wag with a Cherokee like decal kit, a pretty nice Rino grill, rear grand wag air deflector and more.

If you can get it for $25, then you're in good shape either way. If you were ever to upgrade, you'd have plenty of people to offer you money for it.

For $25 I'd go for it. Its gonna be better than nothing :D Just keep in mind that its not gonna hold up to pushing deer and other woodland creatures out of your way ;) :D
