i might have a line on a clifford 47-4060 valve cover for rather cheap, but in the clifford catalogue it states that its for 81-87 valve cover replacement only. (http://cliffordperformanceshop.com/catalog/47-4060_jeep_valve_cover_2154 522.htm)

i like the look over the stock cover on my 232. but my question is will it bolt on to my 232, dispite being advertized for the 81-87 engines? was there something that changed (besides the switch to plastic covers) that wont allow it to be backwards-compatable?

its a '67 232.

thanks.

you might want to look at the cover. I'm not sure about the 232 but for the 258's people need to drill and tap some valve cover holes on the head. I have seen some heads with these holes and all they need is to be drilled a little deeper and tapped.

On my 1982 I have to get the valve cover gasket for a pre 80 engine. I think maybe the engine was swapped before I got it. There are two different valve cover patterns for the 258 I-6. As for the 232 I almost positive the 258 WILL NOT work on it.
Good luck
