Hey all,

So last week, I posted here about how my grand wag was cranking, but not starting. I got some good advice on how to look for spark / fuel. But, decided not to mess with it until today. In that time:

1. the batery go really low (i think the clock stayed on all weekend. don't know why. it's oof now!)

2. I hooked up my "jump start" battery and now I can hear what I THINK is the starter just...i dunno. not cranking. just buzzing really. dead starter? that's a wacky coincidence huh?

I would say dead battery. Charge it up overnight and try again tomorrow. Also clean the cable connections.

Batteries can be surprisingly fickle beasts...and can be damaged beyond repair if you do lots and lots of cranking versus starting and letting it run. You can get a good little charger for around $30-40. I use one like this http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?BV_UseBVCookie=Yes&vertical=AUTO&pid=02871221000

It's good if you don't have lots of room to store stuff, and does a very good job. Just make sure your batt is fully charged before you try to abuse it by cranking your engine over and over.
