oil flow problem

I picked up a J truck with a 360. It blows the oil filter gasket when it's started. Anyone had this problem before? Ideas on flushing the oil passages?

I bet the oil-pressure relief valve is stuck shut, sending full pressure through the oil-filter. It's in the oil-pump housing behind a big hex-head plug on the side of the housing. Remove it, then there is a spring, then a piston with a pointy end that goes in first. Good luck getting it out if it's really stuck; maybe some brake-cleaner and a magnet would do the trick.
