I put in a new headlight yesterday, worked just fine, but when night time rolled around I noticed that the newly installed on was on high beam when the rest were on low. As I drove home in the dark, on my way to try and fix this problem, all of the sudden all of my headlights cut off. I pulled over and tried my hardest to get them back on (messing with wires, stepping repeatedly on the high beam switch, pulling light switch on and off) but nothing would work. I ended up driving home with my roof fog lights on for safety and pissed off plenty of people on the way (I guess they are brighter than I thought). Does anyone have any ideas of what may of caused this? Did I possibly burn out my light switch fuse or something?

I would first check the fuse(s).Then check to see if you have power to the plugs that conect to the back of the headlights. After that I would check the headlight switch in the dash and the dimmer switch(high and low-beam switch).Hope this helps.

P.S. Check the Headlights them selves just to make sure!!!!

You shure the new one was on high beam and not just brighter than the other one because it is a new hallogen? I always heard to replace headlights in pairs.

Definitely check your fuses. Maybe you got a hold of a screwed up headlight(i don't know how it could be) and it blew a fuse. Or possibly you messed up one of the wires when you replaced the light and it grounded out.
