Source of Short Found

Last night I found the source of my electrical short. Where the wiring harness runs along the passenger side of the intake, it lays on one of two bolts that hold a carb preheat plate or something of that nature. Well over the years, it wore through the plastic loom and eventually wore through the wiring insulation. I also noticed last night that my carb is leaking a bit. RIGHT WHERE THE SHORT WAS. Good thing it didn't do a lot of sparking or I might be selling parts instead of fixing the old wag.

Anyways, I don't know if this is a common wear spot for the harness or not, but it might be worth taking a look at. smile.gif
