I'm starting to leak trans fluid more& more.

I posted a couple days ago about Lucas Trans Fluid and another member said I should do a rebuild or replace the seal. I can't afford a rebuild now so I wanna replace the seal. Is this something that I might be able to do, or should I take it to a professional?

Pull the tranny and the seal is right in the gront of the tranny. There is also a seal in the back that is easy to get to. You wil probably have to pull the transfer case to allow for the tranny to slide back away from the motor. Probably a full days work with hand tools.

Have you ever pulled a transmission, or anything else like that before? What is your mechanical ability? If it is something you want to do, I have a service procedure I could send to you to R&R the tranny. It is not that hard to me anyways.

I think I need to do this as well since I'm leaking tranny fluid at the front of the trans too.
