ive heard that the hp44 is really easy with a soa bolt on swap so ive been looking for one with no avail. since im dropping in what i believe to be a 250hp diesel. twin turbo maybe it would be better to find a dana 60.

Which models of vehicles should i look for donor?

Front and Rear

I currently have a disk front stock. SUA

i have a 4bt with a 47rh matted to a np205

If you are looking for a HP 60, you will only find them on Fords. 78 to 79 and 85.5 UP. Im assuming your rig is driver side drop? Also The 03 up 2500./3500 have HP AAM axles. You would need to add perches as those are setup for coils and 5 link

5 link? I beleive they have radius arms with a track bar. Ford uses Dana 60 hp axles. I beleive Dodge started using the AAM front axle after 2002. If your lucky you can find the Dana super 60 which has a 10" ring gear and 3.75 x 0.5 wall tubes.

That's what I am using and using the stock radius arm mounts on the axle with custom radius arms and coil springs.

On the super dana 60 only out of a F450 or F550 from 2005+ and with 4.30, 4.88 or 5.13 gears

Dodge is 5 link. they have 4 control arms and one pan hard bar
Ford in 2005 went back to the radius arm design otherwise the pre 1979 ford f150's were radius arm and HP. or there are the 8 lug leaf spring HP44s with larger 3" tubes

All ford's and dodge AAM's will be driverside in the HP configuration.

The front ring and pinion usually can be undersized and take alot of abuse because a majority of the load/wieght is typically transfered to the rear end under hard acceleration. just run a low pinion dana 44 it'll be fine then run a 60 in the rear, if you decide to upgrade later chase downa set of dodge axles or chevy cucv axles for cheap.

I'd run a Dana 44 front up to 35's with that kind of torque and hp without hesitation especially if it s a street/tow rig offroad is a different story but then again twin turbos are tight under the hood i dont tend to run anything that is hard to workon or get at in my wheelers.

also dont concern yourself with a target HP number think target torque #.

Whats the objective? if you have this 4bt with a 47rh matted to a np205 im going to suspect that you'll need a passenger side output if thats a dodge NP205. Are you looking for a cruiser that gets good mileage can tow a little and performs well or are you trying to build it to beat on?
