Hello to everyone! Born in Vancouver, WA and never left, LOVE the great NW.

I bought my first Jeep a few months ago and I am addicted. I'm new to wheelin' and a rookie wrencher.

So far, all I have done is the stereo, an alarm, engine is tuned up (needs new carb), and cleaned up the underbody a bit. I've got big plans for it this year.

What is that an 84? Love the early grands that still had the old style dash. What size tires are those? Looks great with the uncut fenders.

Also, If you plan to abuse it, you may want to save that carpet. Looks in good shape and that long pile carpet is hard to get.

Hello to you guys! Its good to find a great forum.

The tires are 35" Super Swamper TSL's and they are just about toast they will be great in the sand this year. I am looking for some new M/T's so I can drive it on the road, these puppies are all over the place. from what I can tell about the lift so far, Its a 3" - 4" procomp and it looks like about a 3" body lift. No body surgery yet. I have always wanted one of these and I kind of don't want to cut her up. I was thinking about going up to 37" tires but that would need cutting for sure.

I am eventually going to strip it down and repaint. It is going to be B&W theme. I want it to look like you are looking at a Black and White Picture (no chrome). I am going to strip the vinyl and in it place, paint on wood using a graining tool and some gray, black and white glazes w/ some air brushing over it. the rest of it is going to be mostly black with some gun metal and light grey accents and striping.

My main thought is to pay respect to the original style while making it mine and original. Hope it looks alright.
Its purpose is a camping and light offroad / mudding vehicle.

Well, when I got it, there was a leak around the front window somewhere so the carpet was sopping wet after being parked in my driveway. another week went by and I found out what the nasty smell in there was (and why there were literally 20+ air fresheners hanging in there). It was mushrooms.:eek::eek: GROSS!! there were mushroom growing up through the carpet! So, I sat in the Waggy during some rain which isn't hard to come by here and watched a steady leak at the top left of the window. When it dryed out, I took a look and sure enough, there was a small dent right where the top meets the seal around the glass. I pumped it full of silicone and whala! Now its dry at least but man does it smell funny in there. My plan was to strip the interior, rip the carper out and do a double coat of bed liner in its place. I was going to throw the carpet away, but now, I may be a bit careful getting it out, shampoo the crap out it and save it.

get one of those 20 dollar steam/vac cleaners and just start in on it ud be amazed what comes out. then hit it with the frabreese odor ilimiator stuff. If it can take out field from a tractor interor (yes you can order tractors with carpet) it will work on a little fungus.
