Probably a stupid question.....

When ordering a new fan clutch I was encountered with two options thermostatic and centrifigal. Which is better and why. THe guy at theparts counter told me thermostatic, the old one was centrifigal and thermostatic is like $20 more. Penny for your thoughts.

For low speed off roading where heat buildup is a given the thermal clutch is much better of a choice in my book.

I found my clutch to be bad after arriving in Ouray, I bought a thermal from Autozone for $32. I did Imogene Pass the next day and not going over 5-10 mph the entire time with nice sttep incline and full throttle in 4 low , I NEVER got more than 3/16" past the lower cool line (green range) on the gage... I was HIGHLY pleased.

Go for the therm"o" one, the next step up is the motor home model,
that needs some slight bolt hole enlargments, but is beefy has heck.
