I swapped in a '79 drivetrain into my '81 Cherokee. The axles came out of a '79 Wagoneer with a 360/TH400/1339. What ratio are they. T'm thinking 3:31, is that right or wrong?
Stock/standard gears for a '79 Wag were 3.54's and optionals were 3.07's.
Mark was it a direct bolt on ? did the sping perches line up? I need to replace my amc20 and I was wondering what rear ends are inter changeable without have-ing to relocate sping perchs

I just had one apart and the ratio is 3.54.
The ring had 46 teeth and the pinion had 13 teeth.
46 / 13 = 3.54
