Thank each and every one of you. I have met the most wonderful people, people I count as my closest friends, and even my husband, here in this world of full size jeeps. You have all become my extended family and I cherish the times we can get together in person as much as the online banter that we exchange. I am at home here, and when something happens in my life, whether good or bad, I share it up here first.
Since 1998 the FSJ community has been there for me, with all my questions, all my irreverence, and all my sorrow and joy. 13 years. Other than my horses that is the longest relationship I've ever managed! :)
Flint and I have been thinking a lot since I rolled my jeep last November. It's remarkable all the things that sift through your head after an accident like that. We are looking at everything a little bit differently now. We see our friends and family in a different light. We look at life with a bit more reverence. We find our actions and thoughts altered by the experience. I suppose that's to be expected after a traumatic experience.
Flint and I were sitting on the porch tonight watching the sun set and the horses mow the lawn and we were talking about the Phoebe Too resurrection. After the rollover we were just trying to figure out how to find our dog, tell my mom and get home. We were glad to hear that Phoebe fired up and was driven/pulled out of the ravine, but we had no idea what was going to happen to her after that. Our AZ friends were the ones to say we can rebuild her. They offered a body and a shop and the manpower to take on this huge task.
We are humbled by the monumental generosity and faith our friends showed. The wrench-o-thon that happened on May 14 and 15 was epic in it's scope! Flint and I are so overwhelmingly grateful! We really cannot find words to express how much this means to us. We don't know what we have done to deserve this kindness but we vow to return it in every way we can.
